Sassy Red Coat

Hello to my fellow fashionistas,

I hope you're enjoying my two latest blog posts as I am loving blogging again. It has brought out this light in me that I haven't seen for a few years while being away from home and my lovely photographer my mum. I was going to give a go at styling some Valentines themed outfits for you but unfortunately, after months of dodging ever flu going I have finally come down with something. So alas I may have to post some date night outfits after Valentines.

So this coat I ummed and could not decide whether to keep it or not just because of how bright it was and it is a tiny bit big. However the sass literally oozes out of me when I am wearing it, I love that it's a true red colour and I may have had a slight obsession with PVC... like we all did right. I waited months for this coat to come down in price and when it finally was in the ASOS sale I went to buy it but they had no size eights so I took a gamble after wanting it for so long and went for the size ten. I don't regret ordering the size ten as I LOVE this coat more than life. However, it is a tad big around the waist and I have to fully pull the belt into an inch of my life to cinch my waist in.

Who would have thought that I could turn a sassy coat into an extravagantly saucy outfit by pairing it with an equally as overbold flared trousers and matching bell sleeved jumper?  The trousers were a Christmas present as was the jumper, The jumper is cropped but it's perfect for wearing with anything high waisted. The trousers were definitely a bit out there for me, but I thought if you can't blog an outfit that can be seen from out of space then when can you? I will try to find all the links for the items but I know the t-shirt I wore was a Missguided sale purchase.

Here is some 70's inspiration which is where I got inspiration for this outfit, bell sleeves, flared trousers and leather coats.

Anyway on to the outfit deets!

Jumper - https://www.prettylittlething.com/cobalt-flared-sleeve-crop-knitted-jumper.html

So being a string bean, a tall lanky thing I find it so hard to find trousers that don't look like ankle swingers! HOWEVER alas I have found that these trousers and pretty little thing have flared trousers that always fit me perfectly in the length. I am 5 ft 10 and a half and most my length is my long legs so you can see the problem I have.

Winter Wish List

My Winter Wishlist

Today's post will be a wish list of winter warmers that I have grown to love over the past month. Side note... I am sorry for neglecting you guys I have just had a lot on with graduating from University and getting used to being in full time employment. I hope you like the items I have picked because if I had the money I would buy it all ! But unfortunately I haven't won the lottery.

1. So I am a little ( a lot ) obsessed with Vinyl and when I saw this Vinyl trench coat in Miss Selfridge I fell head over heels in LOVE with it! It's a tad pricey but I know today you can get 50% off the black Vinly coat which makes it an affordable £29.50! However if you LOVE the red like I do then you can only get 30% off which makes it £41.30 which is a bit of a saving but not as much as the black. However if I was to get one it would 100% be the red... My parents would say I had an expensive taste but I really just think the red is such a bold colour and as I have black/grey hair the black Vinyl might make me look even more pale.. if that's possible.

2. I don't know about you guys but I am obsessed with the frilled hem ankle grazer trousers, I currently own a black pair and a yellow tartan pair but these blue tartan ones are perfect for anyone who doesn't want to brave the black and yellow ones. The dark green, red and blue tartan ones will be easier to style whether your looking for a casual outfit or a night out these are perfect for all occasions.

3. SHOCK leather again... I think I am with everyone when I say leather is back with a kick and these leather look coated high waist jeans are the perfect way to transition from your normal black jeans.

4. Last but not least these leather ( yep I told you I am obsessed ) over the knee flat boots from Missguided. These aren't on my wish list anymore as I actually purchased them and can vouch for them. I have thin thighs so even though I love the over the knee boots trend most the boots I have tried on are too big and look silly or two fall down. However because of the stiffness of these boots and the little tie at the back ALLAS I have found over the knee flat boots that flatter my legs.

So that's my first winter wish list but don't worry this won't be a one post every couple of months thing. I will actually be creating new content every Thursday and Friday as I get those days off.

Comment below any blog posts you would like to see .. I will be doing a makeup haul next as I have accumulated quite a few makeup products that are very seasonal and products I think you guys would love.

Leopard Lingerie - The Tacky Print I Love

So first things first, If you can't remember who I am and what this blog is about then here's a little recap for the old and new viewers. My Names Coral Baker, I started this fashion blog back in 2012/2013 and started to grow a name for myself, you may remember me originally as @Misscocochanel on both Youtube and Instagram for a while, and some might just know me as The Coral Diaries a newcomer to the blogging world back then. So now its 2017 and I've neglected this blog for over 3 years and lost my following on social media all because I couldn't prioritise a life where I had Work, University and a Boyfriend so for that I'm really sorry. I've tried a come back a few times each year and it hasn't worked out but this time I am determined to make it stick as blogging is where my passion lies be at blogging about Lingerie, Fashion or even Food, it's the one thing I always come back too when I'm sat thinking about life and what I regret.

So what now you may ask ... well for me as for many other graduates, I will be going back home to the little old Isle of Wight. You must all think reading this I'm MAD because I'll be moving from a city where something is always going on and there is a lot of opportunities to somewhere which is economically failing. But for me the Island is home, It's where all my family is and right now it's a place of sanctuary I can go too to figure out what my next move is after I have graduated.

Now I have got that all off of my chest on to the exciting new blog post ( she hopes) so this is my long overdue comeback and what better way than to blog about Lingerie, Fashion and Kittens all in one post!

We all love summer don't we mainly because of the sun and the HUGE sales it brings about towards the end of it. Being the beginning of June now is the time sales are starting to pop up everywhere and lucky for me the Boux Avenue sale is on which means I can justify spending £30 on two sets because of my staff discount. Oh, I do LOVE my job sometimes. After falling in love with the Mariette in pink from last season sale I couldn't say no when the leopard print Mariette went into sale. Now leopard for me used to be a NO GO but after purchasing my third Honey Birdette bra which was the leopard Dolce balconette I instantly fell in love with the oh so tacky but so fabulous print.

Honey Birdette - Dolce Leo Longline Cap Sleeve Bra

What else can I say about this bra except the design is stunning! perfect amount of leopard and lace to pull of the glamorous vintage style.

So the fit itself isn't the best, it's not a bra you could wear every day just because of the capped lace sleeves and the boning of the underwire for the long line, because it's a longline the boning of the Bra sits at the top of your sternum which after time can feel a little tight and uncomfortable. The style is a 10/10 for me, the delicate Italian lace, the details of the bow and jewel on the centre front and the perfect amount of lace really makes this a sexy fierce look. The one aspect of Honey Birdette that I find odd is the cup fitting, I Ordered a 32C in this Bra and I find I'm popping over the lace a little, I mean it could be a factor of things from how un-stretchy the material is too being a little fuller on the top of my bust than the bottom but overall I LOVE this bra and company. Definitely underrated in the UK!

£60 - https://uk.honeybirdette.com/products/dolce-leo-bra - .. the price may deter you but the quality definitely lives up to the price, also if you sign up at the moment to their emails you can grab yourself £10 off your first order! perfect much or what.

You may be thinking but CORAL YOU ARE NOT MATCHING ! ... the reason for this is because I personally didn't like the matching pants for the Dolce Leo set as much as I love these black high waisted lace back briefs from Ann Summers. Heres details of the lace back .. yes that is me modeling it was a favour for a friend and her Final Major Project.

High Waisted briefs are kind of an obsession I have found myself with over the last few months due to the influx of them in stores including Boux. These however are amazing! the design of the corsetted lace back had me so entranced online and the feel and fit is even better in person! Just be weary when you wash them to tie the laces at the bottom in a secure knot otherwise it will become unravelled and believe me it's a NIGHTMARE to lace back up!

£10 - Giovanna Lace Up Brief - http://www.annsummers.com/lingerie/lingerie-shop-by-category/lingerie-shop-by-category-knickers-and-thongs/giovanna-lace-up-brief/80511.html

Mariette Leopard Balconette Bra  - Boux Avenue

The Boux Aveneue sale this year has been alot better then the stock that would normally go in, alot of high waisted sets and half of the swimwear stock has been reduced to up to 70% off! So for the normal price going from £30 for the bra to an amazing £12 how could I resist! However before you think I opted for the high waisted pants... I didn't, the great thing about this set is that the thong is really pretty and comfortable to wear and for £4 you really can't go wrong! It's not I didn't love the high waisted pants its just as you will be able too see when I start showing my lingerie collection on here .. I have a hell of a lot of high waisted pants and sometimes they can be annoying to wear.

One point to take into consideration when buying this bra is go up in the cup size due to the mould of the padding, if you don't your be spilling over the top and due to the strappings placement it will look very unflattering.

£12 - Marriette Leopard Balconette Bra - http://www.bouxavenue.com/bras/mariette-leopard-balconette-bra/101629_01BM30C.html

£4 - Mariette Strappy Thong - http://www.bouxavenue.com/knickers/mariette-leopard-thong/101630.html?dwvar_101630_color=01BM&dwvar_101630_dressSize=06&cgid=

Due to the style of the bra I decided to have it on show peeping through a casual white shirt paired with a camel coloured plaid skirt, I have accessorized it with my current obsession which is corset belts. This one I have paired with my outfit is from newlook and I also use it too dress up my uniform at work. Oh and look theres also one of my cat Tinkerbell's kittens ... aren't they so darling or what.

Anyway hope you enjoyed this post of Lingerie, Sales, Fashion and Kittens!

Much love Coral

Guest post - Aspire Desire

Hey! I'm Lauren Rebecca and i'm a new fashion/ style blogger. I'm currently an A level student and work in fashion retail as a sale assistant at Jane Norman; my main style influences are Chanel and Dolce & Gabbana. Favourite staple: monochrome.

For this look I wanted to layer my new Topshop bralet for work; to do this I went for a velvet crop from H&M which is super cosy and matches perfectly with the textures of the bralet. I wanted the main focus to be the small splashes of white which are in the pleats of the top, outline the pattern in the bottoms and then the shoes.

I think the pleats look super cute and girly against all the black of the outfit, plus the velvet top stood out against the bralet giving the look some diversity. The bottoms are actually the bottom half of a jumpsuit, I tucked the top in to create a loose trouser look which matches the tops.

Anyone that knows me will notice I ALWAYS wear my cut out boots; they're my absolute fave and match with basically anything! They're also currently in the Topshop sale for £25! They add length to your legs but are really comfy, unlike other heels. The chunky platform and block heel makes them easy to walk in and don't hurt your feet.

Thanks for reading my guest post! <3

Autumn Missguided Wishlist

So all I can say is Miss-guided is so on point with all their new autumn/winter stock, here are just a few bits that I am currently lusting after!

Antonina Knitted Funnel Neck Crop Jumper Dark Grey

I love the grey knitted pattern of this jumper, I also love the crop as they look perfect paired with high waisted trousers/skirts and we all know how I love my garments to be highwaisted. A perfect item to help me go from my bright summer clothes to the darker fall wardrobe I so desperately desire.

Miliana Black Rib Knit Crop Top

A key piece for autumn/winter a plain black cropped knitted long sleeved jumper.

Catriona Loop Knit Shrug Cardigan Burgundy

Not only do I love the crimson blood red colour of this shaggy knitted jacket but I also love the texture of the jacket, it would look perfect paired with all black or even my new favourite colour for autumn khaki.

Alanis Faux Leather Asymmetric Zip Skirt Khaki

Everyone loves leather for winter so why not combine three amazing things; the asymmetric hem, leather and khaki to create this beautiful key fall piece. This can be easily dressed up with a sheer crop top or dressed down with knee boots and a chunky knit.

Elania Long Sleeve Ribbed Jersey Crop Top Khaki + matching skirt

Beautiful knitted coordinate.
